Errata for the 2001 Review of Particle Physics

During the time between editions of the Review of Particle Physics and the Particle Physics Booklet, we often find a number of errata. We correct most errata on our WWW pages. If you should find errata that are not known to us, please send mail to pdg@lbl.gov.

We present the following errata along with the corrected PostScript and PDF files:

• Page 4 of the WWW Listings for Higgs     PS     PDF
  • (September 20, 2001): The encoding attributed to AFFOLDER 2001B should have been to AFFOLDER 2001D (two places in the Listings). (The data is unchanged.) The reference for AFFOLDER 2001D is PRL 86 4472.

• Page 4 of the WWW Listings for nu_e     PS     PDF
  • (July 2, 2001): In the subheader text for both ``nu MEAN LIFE'' and ``nu (MEAN LIFE)/MASS'' there was an erroneous ``/'' in the explanation of the measured quantity of the header. (The sentence beginning: ``Measures ...'')

  • (July 2, 2001): In the subheader text for ``nu (MEAN LIFE)/MASS'' there was an erroneous ``/'' in the explanation of the measured quantity of the header. (The sentence beginning: ``Measures ...'')

• Page 3 of the WWW Listings for nu_tau     PS     PDF
  • (July 2, 2001): In the subheader text for ``nu (MEAN LIFE)/MASS'' there was an erroneous ``/'' in the explanation of the measured quantity of the header. (The sentence beginning: ``Measures ...'')

• For the WWW Listings for Upsilon(4S)     PS     PDF
  • (September 17, 2001): We no longer present any Branching Ratio of the Decay Mode
    • Upsilon(4S) --> J/psi anything; Wrong, claim retracted
    As presented in many conferences begining in 1991, the CLEO Collaboration has retracted any claimed observation of high momentum J/psi's.

• Pages 3,9,10 of the WWW Listings for B+-     PS     PDF
  • (July 16, 2001): The units for the Decay Modes Gamma6 and Gamma9 were wrong.
    • Page 3, for Gamma6; Wrong: (90+-28)%  Right: (9.0+-2.8)x10^-5
    • Page 3, for Gamma9; Wrong: (134+32-35)%  Right: (1.34+0.32-0.35)x10^-4
    • Page 9, for Gamma6/Gamma; The units (10^-4) were missing.
    • Pages 9,10 for Gamma9/Gamma; The units (10^-4) were missing.

• Pages 6,16 of the WWW Listings for B0     PS     PDF
  • (August 1, 2001): Because the entry for ALAM 1994 was mistakenly left out of the average for Gamma17, the calculated average was wrong.
    • Page 6, for the Gamma17 Decay Mode: Wrong: (6.8+-3.4)x10^-3  Right: (7.3+-1.5)x10^-3
    • Page 16, similarly for the Branching Ratio: Wrong: 0.0068+-0.0034  Right: 0.0073+-0.0015
