Electron-ion pairs

The mean primary and total number of electron-ion pairs per cm produced by a unit charge minimum ionizing particle, are from Table 35.5 in the Review of Particle Physics, ``Particle Detectors at Accelerators.'' The table, by Fabio Sauli and Maxim Titov, also lists other quantities relevant to gaseous detectors: First excitation energy, ionization energy, and average energy per ion pair.
