Explanation of Dates

The date shown at the bottom of Particle Data Group World-Wide Web documents is included as recommended in the World-Wide Web Style Guide. The date indicates when the document was first made available on the Web or when it was last modified. The date does not necessarily indicate the modification date or the cut-off date for information shown on the document.

For example, Web pages showing the Review of Particle Physics may be dated in September, but the official cut-off for new data was the previous January 1, the journal was printed in August, and errata may or may not have been implemented on the Web.

As another example, interactive databases may or may not have been loaded and corrected as of the date shown on Web pages.
