Errata for the 2018 Review of Particle Physics
During the time between editions of the
Review of Particle Physics and the
Particle Physics Booklet, we often find a number of errata. We correct most errata on our WWW pages. If you should find errata that are not known to us, please send mail to
pdg @ lbl.gov.
For errata in previous editions, please see:

Errata for the 2018 Edition:

(November 16, 2018):
The value of the Z decay mode Γ5 (ℓ+ℓ−ℓ+ℓ−) fraction Γ5/Γ should read: (4.45±0.32)×10−6
|

(November 16, 2018):
The header text under Γ(ℓ+ℓ−ℓ+ℓ−)/Γtotal (Γ5/Γ) should continue with:
The branching fractions in this node are given within the phase-space defined by the requirements that
(i) the 4-lepton invariant mass is between 80 GeV and 100 GeV, and
(ii) any opposite-sign same-flavor lepton pair has a di-lepton invariant mass larger than 4 GeV.
- OUR AVERAGE value for the Z decay mode Γ(ℓ+ℓ−ℓ+ℓ−)/Γ fraction should read: 4.45±0.32
- AAD 14N value for the Z decay mode Γ(ℓ+ℓ−ℓ+ℓ−)/Γ fraction should read: 4.31±0.34±0.17
- CHATRCHYAN 12BN value for the Z decay mode Γ(ℓ+ℓ−ℓ+ℓ−)/Γ fraction should read: 4.6+1.0−0.9±0.2
and have a footnote:
2CHATRCHYAN 12BN reports (4.2+0.9−0.8±0.2)×10−6 value. Their result (both central value and uncertainties) is scaled
by 10% to account for the different phase-space definition used here (see RAINBOLT 18, arXiv:1805.05791 (2018)).
